- Transfer of MSDF’s TC-90 training aircraft to the Philippine Navy was advanced as a “Package” project including not only (1) Transfer of the five TC-90s that were decommissioned early because of the change in educational usage, but also (2) Support in Pilot Education, and (3) Support in Maintenance and Sustainment.

- Approximately 40,000 parts (including engines and blades, etc.,) that were no longer needed due to the decommissioning of all the JGSDF UH-1H multipurpose helicopters were transferred.

Transfer of Air Surveillance Radar Systems

- A Japanese company proposed its radar system to the Philippine Air Force (PAF) in response to PAF’s selection process of surveillance radar system initiated in 2018. ATLA engaged in encouraging the adoption of the Japanese surveillance radar system.
- In August 2020, the contract between the Philippine Department of National Defense and the Japanese company was concluded by which the latter is to supply four manufactured air surveillance radar systems with a total value of approximately one hundred million U.S. dollars.
- Drawing on its experience in manufacturing radar systems for the JSDF, the Japanese company newly developed and manufactured the radar system to meet PAF’s requirement. This is the first overseas transfer case of a complete defense equipment system newly manufactured by a Japanese company.
