1 Purpose and Objective
The purpose of this website is to promote information sharing and collaboration between the public and private sectors regarding the overseas transfer of defense equipment, with the aim of advancing defense equipment and technology cooperation with other countries. This is based on the Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Agency’s Service Contract for Defense Equipment Transfer through Public-Private Partnership, and under the Three Principles on Transfer of Defense Equipment and Technology, which stipulates that equipment transfer may be approved if it contributes to Japan’s security, and the Japanese government’s policy (National Defense Program Guidelines for FY 2019 and beyond) for public-private collaboration for information collection and sharing to promote the appropriate overseas transfer of defense equipment.
